English-American cellist Frankie Carr was born into a family of string players. At the age of 16, Frankie joined the Yehudi Menuhin School of Music in London. He has performed at festivals across Europe and North America, including Kneisel Hall, Music from Angel Fire, Four Seasons Chamber Music, Loon Lake Live, Lunenberg Academy of Music Performance, Stichting Kamermusiek Amsterdam, YPF Amsterdam, The Menuhin Festival Gstaad, and Greenwood. Frankie is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and the Curtis Community Artist Fellowship, and he is currently a member of Carnegie Hall’s Ensemble Connect. He also performs regularly with his duo, FAduo. A dedicated teacher, he was on the faculty at Musart Music in Long Island, and currently holds a small private studio of pre-college students. He has also taught in group settings for Play on, Philly!, Carnegie Hall, and the Curtis Institute of Music. Frankie is based in the Philadelphia/NYC area, where he lives with his two cats and his partner, Arlen Hlusko. In his free time he enjoys long walks and looking at birds.
